2020 will be our year.

It is not only the year of the next presidential election;  it is also the year of the next U.S. Census.

To help inform and inspire the work of black alumni groups, associations and networks, the 2020 Black Alumni Summit conference theme will be on motivating civic engagement, voter registration, census participation, and local political leadership.

Our annual convening will be hosted by Florida State University Black Alumni in Tallahassee, FL on February 28 + 29, 2020.

We anticipate inviting 75+ black alumni leaders and associations from the following schools:

Auburn University, Clemson University, Duke University, Florida State University, Georgia Tech, University of Alabama, University of Georgia, University of Florida, University of North Carolina, and University of South Carolina.

Conference topics and discussions will focus on the following:

  1. Implementing sound metrics in 2020 (next presidential election and U.S. Census) to measure the impact of black alumni on voter activity and civic participation among their networks and communities.
  2. Leveraging the black  university network from 10+ universities to heighten voter registration and census participation.
  3. Using our 2020 Black Alumni Summit conference to influence and stimulate black leadership in the civic and political space.
