Andrea Glover is an accomplished designer, artist, entrepreneur and educator who resides in the

historic city of Charleston, South Carolina. She is a proud graduate of the University of South

Carolina, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. She

is also a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she received her Master of Fine

Arts degree in Graphic Design.

Currently, Andrea is a Professor of Graphic Design at Charleston Southern University. She has also

worked as a graphic designer for several companies— including Charleston Magazine, Gulfstream

Aerospace, ABC22 and Spartina 449.

Notably, Spartina 449 is a world-renowned handbag company which is based out of the Lowcountry

region of South Carolina. Andrea was one of the very first designers to be hired during the

origination of the company in 2009, and she played an essential role in the initial launching,

development, and subsequent expansion of the company.

Spartina 449 is now a multi-million dollar company with store locations all over the world—including a location in downtown Charleston. Their current logo was designed by Andrea during the early stages of the company. Andreaʼs product designs, design work, and logo for Spartina 449 can still be found in stores around the globe.

Andrea has had the honor and privilege of being featured in Southern Lady Magazine on behalf of her

business, Letter Décor Signature Collection, a company that she has launched and in which she has created a myriad of custom-made paintings and handlettered pieces for various clients across the

United States.

She was also recognized as one of South Carolinaʼs Top 20 Under 40 in 2016, which is a distinguished honor bestowed upon select African-American professionals and sponsored by the South Carolina BlackPages.

Andreaʼs work has also been featured and has received rave reviews on the Charleston City Marketʼs social media pages—namely, Instagram and Facebook—in order to highlight the unique and exquisite work of her company.
